  • Financial Data: Bank account details, payment card details, and transaction history related to property allocations.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform.

2. How We Use Collected Information

ESHDC may collect and use Users personal information for the following strictly governed purposes:

  • To process applications: Information you provide helps us process property allocations, verify identities, and issue Certificates of Occupancy.
  • To improve customer service: Information helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
  • To personalize user experience: We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site.
  • To send periodic emails: We may use the email address to send User information and updates pertaining to their applications, inquiries, and other requests.

3. Data Protection and Security

We adopt robust data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.

Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over an SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures. Our backend infrastructure utilizes 256-bit encryption for all stored financial and identity records.

4. Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personally identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personally identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.

We may share your data with strictly vetted third-party service providers (such as Flutterwave for payment processing) to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf.

5. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, you are granted specific rights regarding your personal data:

ESHDC retains personal data for the duration of the property allocation lifecycle and as required by the Land Use Act. Historical property records, including deed history and transfer logs, are maintained permanently as part of the state's central land registry to ensure the integrity of property titles across generations.

ESHDC has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the top of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect.
